Environmental, Social & Governance

Dorex Australia aligns with leading global ESG frameworks, including UN PRI (Principals for Responsible Investment) and GRI (Global Reporting Initiative), meeting the transparency and governance for institutional standard investment.

Environmental

Environmental stewardship is fundamental to Dorex’s funding philosophy. We focus exclusively on tailings reprocessing and brownfield site redevelopment opportunities that unlock value from known resources while avoiding disturbance to untouched, native environments. Every brownfield project brought back into production represents one less greenfield site exposed to mining impacts.

Our investment mandate requires the use of only the lowest-impact, best-in-practice technologies, in line with EU environmental directives, UN Sustainable Development Goals – SDG 12 & SDG 15 – and the World Gold Council’s Responsible Gold Mining Principles.

By prioritising planning for processes that minimise carbon intensity, water use, and emissions, we ensure each Dorex-financed project advances both commercial and environmental objectives, from commencement.

When operations conclude, sites are remediated and restored to 21st century standards, meeting or exceeding national and international benchmarks for land rehabilitation and environmental protection.

Dorex’s approach safeguards ecosystems, supports community trust, and demonstrates that profitable gold production can—and must—be fully compatible with environmental responsibility.

Social Responsibility

Dorex recognises that mining projects succeed best when they deliver tangible benefits to the communities in which they operate. We require all funded projects to engage openly with local stakeholders, respect cultural heritage, and prioritise local employment and procurement wherever possible.

Our approach is consistent with UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the International Council on Mining and Metals’ (ICMM) social performance standards. This ensures community safety, fair labour conditions, and transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.

By funding tailings and brownfield projects that minimise disruption to communities and ecosystems, Dorex supports responsible resource development that creates economic opportunity without compromising quality of life.

Governance

Strong governance underpins Dorex’s ability to deliver sustainable outcomes. We apply rigorous due diligence to every potential investment, with oversight processes that ensure compliance with applicable laws, industry codes, and international best practice.

Our governance framework is aligned with the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and integrates anti-corruption, anti-bribery, and responsible supply chain principles. Funding structures are transparent, milestone-linked, and supported by regular technical and financial reporting.

By embedding accountability and ethical conduct at every level, Dorex provides assurance to investors, partners, and host communities that projects Dorex funds meet the highest standards of integrity and responsible management.

Privacy Commitment

At Dorex, client privacy is fundamental to the way we operate. We align with internationally recognised standards, including the OECD Privacy Principles and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable, to ensure information is collected, stored, and managed responsibly. All data is safeguarded with secure systems and processes, accessed only on a need-to-know basis, and never disclosed without clear consent. By aligning with global best practices, we protect not only confidentiality but also client trust — ensuring discretion, compliance, and peace of mind throughout every engagement.
